Artmus went solar as the world does

Placing my artwork within the times is an important gesture that I wanted to pay to the 21st century. The quest to make Artmus solar relates to global issues, corrosive economics, and a fight to slow progress and science. Making Artmus rely on solar energy is a just a small endeavor to make a stand as an artist. Also as a person.

Basically the painting hangs on the window during the day and a panel harvests light. During the night a soft glow changes the whole aspect of Artmus so it is not only decorative piece of art but also a strong statement of the direction we must take.

I find it very interesting to observe how conservative thought, in very predictable ways, tried to stop progress in Nevada. For two years Nevada repressed solar businesses with tactics such as proposing fees on solar panel usage. Today, just at the beginning of July, a new bill signed by Gov. Sandoval, Senate Bill 145, establishes the Solar Energy Systems Incentive Program which will encourage the installation of energy storage systems, including energy storage highways for EV drivers.

Hey, Nevada finally realized sun is what they have now.

We witness unprecedented changes and should take courage that each and every one of us belongs to weak species that dares to dream.

So far it is just a start. I intend to work on the solar aspect so it is as esthetical as possible.
